Topco Media is excited to announce the winners of this year’s prestigious Africa Tech Week Awards. The awards focus on educating African countries on the challenges and opportunities to be gained by their drafting appropriate plans and policies to catapult them into the digital and technological revolution.
The Africa Tech Week Awards also recognise and reward companies on the continent that have demonstrated excellence in the area of innovative product development.
The African continent has a greenfield advantage in that it is not burdened by legacies that might be problematic in other parts of the world. African countries and organisations have the ability to develop and build from the ground up, allowing them to be early adopters of disruptive technology.
“As a unified entity, we hold the key to unlocking Africa’s potential,” says Ralf Fletcher, CEO, Topco Media. “As the next big growth market, it is critical that multinationals partner with Africa for several sterling reasons. One thing is clear: the events of the past year have had an impact on technology as much as every other part of our lives. Ten years from now, we will be able to recount the great tale of how digital transformation took place and was catalysed.”
Africa’s ingenuity and perseverance are alive and well. However, if we are to keep our economies afloat, we must be responsible in our daily interactions with consumers.
